Fab Lab South Dade
Fab Lab Miami established its second Fab Lab in Homestead in January 2024. Fab Lab Miami has partnered with local programs throughout South Dade to deliver programming to school-aged children. In January 2024, Fab Lab South Dade launched at the Phichol Williams Community Center and is currently serving children in its after school programming.
Fab Lab Miami aims to inspire and nurture the pursuit of coursework and careers in STEAM through a maker-driven, hands-on experience with digital fabrication and STEAM activities.
Located in the Phichol Williams Community Center, Fab Lab Miami’s makerspace offers engaging programming in South Dade around digital fabrication and other STEAM-related activities so that youth can play, create, learn, mentor and invent.

Fab Lab Miami’s Students
Fab Lab Miami has a range of program offerings, including open lab hours, workshops, wraparound support and teacher trainings.
To date, Fab Lab Miami has served students from Belafonte Tacolcy Center, Girl Power, KIPP Academy, Liberty City Optimist Club, and Tru Prep Academy. Fab Lab Miami has a range of program offerings, including open lab hours, workshops, wraparound support and teacher trainings.
Fab Lab Miami’s Program
